Śrī Maṁgalamūrtī Wāḍā

After the Samadhi Shrine of Śrī Moraya Gosavi, towards the right in Chinchwad village there is Maṁgalamūrtī Wāḍā / Deool Wāḍā / Deo Wāḍā (Palace) of Chinchwad Deosthan trust. There is an idol of Maṁgalamūrtī placed on the throne which was received by Śrī Moraya Gosavi Maharaj in the Karha river at Morgaon. Adjoining this idol; is the idol of Śrī Koṭhāreśvara, another Gaṇeśa idol facing towards the North. There is a Shami tree near the idol. A large wooden assembly hall can be seen in front of the temple. It has glass lamps and chandeliers. Large pictures of the Aṣṭavināyakas are erected here.

The descendents of Śrī Moraya Gosavi Maharaj reside in the Maṁgalamūrtī Wāḍā. It is fairly spacious. Chhatrapati Śrī Shivaji Maharaj visited this place in his childhood. His mother Rajmata Jijau also presented a garland, a necklace of jewels, and other trinkets to Śrī Maṁgalamūrtī as a symbol of gratitude for the fulfillment of her vows. These ornaments are still worn by Śrī Maṁgalamūrtī during the Śrīman Mahasadhu Śrī Moraya Gosavi Maharaj Sanjeevan Samadhi Festival.

Some sections of the Maṁgalamūrtī Wāḍā have been constructed in the tenure of Chiṁtāmaṇī Maharaj and few other portions were built by Nana Phadanvis and Haripant Phadke. Towards the left there is an office of Chinchwad Devasthan Trust. Chinchwad, Morgaon, Theur, Siddhatek and Narangi areas are managed from this office.
