Śrī Dharaṇīdhara Maharaj was the eldest son of Śrī Chiṁtāmaṇī Maharaj II. He was commanded to become a successor in the period of his father. He was a great ascetic similar to his father. A king of Satara Chhatrapati Śrī Shahu Maharaj got a divine vision and order of Śrī Maṁgalamūrtī to visit chinchwad. Śrī Shahu Maharaj recalled the dream in which he saw Śrī Dharaṇīdhara Maharaj. Both of them bow down to each other as a mark of respect. Śrī Dharaṇīdhara Maharaj was politically significant. A mint – Coinage factory was started during his tenure which resulted in a higher revenue of Samsthana. He initiated various social welfare work. Morgaon temple, Theur temple, Siddhatek temple, Temple dedicated to Kaalbhairava at Chinchwad was constructed by him.
